Qualifications:

窶「 Associate’s degree preferred
窶「 At least 3-5 years of experience working with those in recovery
窶「 Communicates effectively, using exceptional verbal and written skills as well as demonstrates strong creative problem-solving and conflict management skills;
窶「 Extensive experience with commonly used computer business applications to include but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Utilizes critical thinking skills to provide recommendations and/or other corrective actions as needed;
窶「 Strong interpersonal organizational and analytical skills and the ability to perform under pressure within rigid time constraints, without the loss of efficiency, quality and professionalism as demonstrated by previous positions held;
窶「 Exemplifies excellent customer relations in interactions with physicians and employees, and serves as a positive role model through initiative, involvement and availability;
窶「 Serves as an educator and internal consultant to leadership, teams and individuals in meeting the needs of physicians and their office staff;
窶「 Seeks out new ideas and best practices in physician on-boarding and incorporates them into the organization’s on-boarding efforts;
窶「 Ability to identify, establish and meet goals and objectives.

Description:ツAssist in facilitation a collaborative relationship between others in recovery from substance use disorders and the Center for Inclusion health COE team for the addiction medicine program. Peer Recovery Specialists are overseen by a Master’s Level Social Worker directly reporting to the Project Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

窶「 Engage the individual and establish rapport as evidenced by empathic and active listening, communicating in a nonjudgmental way, recognizing addictive behavior.
窶「 Recognize signs and symptoms of addiction with sensitivity to cultural and environmental differences.
窶「 Assist in development and enhancement of a comprehensive recovery plan by identifying resources, including community programs and agencies, and overcoming barriers to that plan.
窶「 Ability to recognize emergency and crisis situations.
窶「 Educate the individual, family, and community about disease of addiction and the recovery process.
窶「 Conduct self in an ethical manner by adhering to codes of ethics and standards of practice.
窶「 Engage in continuing professional and personal development relative to recovery support services.
