Qualifications:

  • Educational requirements
  • Master窶冱 degree in counseling or human services, or
  • Bachelor窶冱 degree in counseling or human services with minimum of one year of experience working with Substance-Related Disorder population, or
  • Associate窶冱 degree in counseling or human services with minimum of two years窶 experience working with Substance-Related Disorder population, or
  • Full certification as an addictions counselor by statewide certification body, which is a member of a National certification body.
  • Current Child Abuse Clearance, FBI, and Criminal background checks
  • Basic ability to work with computer and necessary software typically used by the department
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills

Description: SAFE is a treatment program providing outpatient and intensive outpatient services for people with Substance-Related Disorder(s) under Greater Philadelphia Asian Social Service Center (GPASS). SAFE provides both individual and group counseling for individuals who are overcoming their barriers in life. SAFE is seeking for experienced counselor to be part of our community.

Employee Type:ツFull-time (with benefit), Part-time, or fee-for-services (minimum 15 hours commitment)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides case management and individual and group counseling for an assigned caseload of participants.
  • Create, updates, and maintains case records on each assigned participant and a timely and thorough basis.
  • Conduct intake assessment based on state-approved assessment
  • Completes comprehensive assessment of clients窶 substance use history and develops individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques as emergency situations arise.
  • Attend supervision, team meetings, and state-required trainings.
  • Maintain appropriate ethical and clinical boundaries with participants and staff.
